Terms of Service
Last updated: September 25, 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern teacher accounts and use of the resources provided through playtimecompass.com by Playtime Compass LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By selecting Create account where these terms are linked, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
2. Accounts and free trial
Accounts are for teachers, childcare providers, school directors, and program administrators aged 18 or older. Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in details private, and contact us if you believe someone has used your account without permission. Do not share your account with other people.
Playtime Compass provides early childhood curriculum resources and a curriculum planner for teachers and childcare programs. Public activities, resources, and local event listings are also available.
Creating an account starts your free trial, not a paid subscription.
Free trial
Your free trial starts when you create your account and lasts 14 days. No credit card is required. We will show the included features before you begin. The trial will not automatically convert to a paid subscription, and we will not charge you when it ends. When your trial ends, you must choose a paid plan and provide payment details to continue using the planner. Trial expiration does not delete your account or saved plans. You can still sign in to manage your account and choose a plan. We will show the price, billing frequency, any automatic renewal terms, and cancellation terms before you purchase a plan.
Paid plans
Paid plans offer monthly or yearly billing. Starting a paid plan is a separate choice from creating an account or starting a trial. Before you purchase, we will show the price, billing frequency, applicable taxes, whether the plan renews automatically, how to cancel, and the applicable refund policy. We will request your authorization before charging your payment method.
Your paid subscription renews automatically each month or year, according to the plan you select, until you cancel. The checkout will show the recurring charge and billing schedule before you agree.
You can cancel from your Account page at any time without a cancellation fee. Cancel before the next renewal to stop the next charge. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
We do not provide partial-period refunds for ordinary cancellations. We will refund billing errors and provide refunds required by applicable law.
Canceling a subscription and deleting an account are separate actions. The purchase terms will explain what happens to stored plans after paid access ends.
3. Using our materials
Unless an individual resource states otherwise, we permit you to view, download, print, and adapt materials we own for teaching within your own classroom or childcare program. Keep copyright and source notices on copies. This permission does not transfer ownership of the materials.
Do not resell our materials, publish them online for others to download, or package them into another curriculum product without our written permission. You may share links to our public pages.
Third-party materials remain subject to their owners' terms. Our permission does not grant rights to books, songs, images, or other materials owned by someone else. Nothing in this section limits uses permitted by applicable law.
4. Adult supervision and professional judgment
Our materials support planning and teaching. You are responsible for selecting and adapting activities for the children in your care, providing adult supervision, and checking materials, allergies, choking risks, accessibility needs, and the safety of the setting.
Our resources do not replace medical or therapeutic advice, professional judgment, or childcare licensing requirements. We do not guarantee a particular learning outcome or that a resource meets every requirement that applies to your program.
5. Information you submit
Do not submit identifying information about children through account, waitlist, event-submission, or feedback forms. This includes child names, photos, health information, and individual child records. These website features are not designed to receive that information.
Submit only information and materials you have permission to share. You retain ownership of your submissions. You give us permission to use them as needed to respond to you, operate the requested service, or publish an event you submit for publication. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the service for unlawful activity, attempt to access another person's account, bypass access controls, introduce harmful software, or disrupt the website. Do not misrepresent your identity or your permission to share content.
7. Events and third-party services
Public event listings and links may lead to services operated by others. Check schedules, prices, registration rules, and suitability directly with the organizer. Information can change. Third-party services have their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Account suspension and closure
We may suspend or close access when needed to address a violation of these terms, misuse, security risks, or legal requirements. We may also change or end an early-access feature. Where practical, we will provide notice and a way to contact us about the decision; urgent security or legal situations may require immediate action.
You may delete your account through the Account page or contact us for help. Deletion and retention of personal information are described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to provide useful, accurate resources, but the website can contain errors or experience interruptions. We may correct, update, or remove content and features. Contact us if you find an error.
If we materially change these terms, we will provide notice through the website or the email associated with your account and state when the changes take effect. Where required, we will request your agreement again. Changes will not apply retroactively to resolve a dispute that already arose.
Nothing in these terms removes rights that applicable law does not allow us to limit.
10. Account communications
We may email you about your account, sign-in, security, trial, and important service changes.
11. How these terms apply
These terms describe the agreement for your account and use of our resources. If you buy a paid plan, the plan and purchase terms shown when you buy also apply.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. If we do not enforce a provision on one occasion, that does not prevent us from enforcing it later.
