You can explore a special selection from the Rochester Art Center’s permanent collection and see works that are being shown publicly for the first time since the museum’s 75-year anniversary exhibition in 2021. The exhibition highlights careful collection management, preservation, and research, so you get a chance to view art that has been prepared for in-person presentation. The display features 17 works chosen to represent a broad cross section of the collection, with attention to works from East Asia and pieces that are best appreciated up close. You and your family can experience details in prints, photography, and sculpture that do not come through in reproductions. Featured artists include Nicholas Africano, Gail W. Bamber, Khanh Cong Le, Winifred Godfrey, Gary Johnson, Eiichi Kotozuka, Alan Larkin, Keith A. Leaman, Mike Lynch, Bernard McNally, George Morrison, Louise Nevelson, William Saltzman, Carol Slade, and Tomikichiro Tokuriki.
