About this event
Stop by Mayo Park for a sidewalk astronomy experience focused on safe solar observing. You can look at the Sun through specially filtered telescopes and learn from amateur astronomers from the Rochester Astronomy Club as they explain what you’re seeing and answer questions. There is no formal presentation, so you can arrive anytime during the program and stay as long as you like. If the skies are at least partly cloudy, it can be a great chance to experience the Sun in a new way. You can also bring a packed lunch and make it into a picnic outing.
