You can explore a first public display of the Rochester Art Center’s permanent collection since its 75-year anniversary exhibition in 2021. The exhibition features 17 works chosen to show a broad cross section of the collection, with special attention to works from East Asia and pieces that are best experienced in person. As you walk through, you’ll see artwork that highlights the museum’s collection care, research, and preservation efforts, along with the behind-the-scenes work that makes long-term display possible. It’s a good fit if you enjoy museum visits that invite close looking and conversation, especially around prints, photography, and contemporary art. Featured artists include Nicholas Africano, Gail W. Bamber, Khanh Cong Le, Winifred Godfrey, Gary Johnson, Eiichi Kotozuka, Alan Larkin, Keith A. Leaman, Mike Lynch, Bernard McNally, George Morrison, Louise Nevelson, William Saltzman, Carol Slade, and Tomikichiro Tokuriki.
