You can explore a special presentation of works from the Rochester Art Center’s permanent collection, shown publicly for the first time since the museum’s 75-year anniversary exhibition in 2021. The display brings together 17 works selected to highlight a wide range of artists and includes pieces from East Asia and artworks best appreciated in person. As you walk through, you’ll see prints, photography, and other works that reveal details and materials that do not translate well in reproduction. This is a thoughtful museum experience for families who enjoy art, conversation, and looking closely at how an exhibition is put together. It also offers a chance to learn how museums care for collections and why permanent holdings matter to the community.
