Art: Inherited Ground at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum presents an intergenerational collaboration between Maggie Thompson (Fond du Lac Ojibwe) and her mother, Peggy Thompson. The project combines woven textile works with ribbon and beads, Ojibwe floral design inspired by flowers growing in and around the Arboretum, and paintings centered on the soil, dirt, and earth beneath them. Together, the works explore shared observation of the Arboretum landscape through two distinct visual languages.
