About this event
Art: Inherited Ground presents an intergenerational collaboration between Maggie Thompson (Fond du Lac Ojibwe) and her mother, Peggy Thompson. The project brings together woven textile works with ribbon and beads, Ojibwe floral design, and painting inspired by the Arboretum grounds. Maggie’s pieces draw from flowers growing in and around the Arboretum, while Peggy’s paintings focus on the soil, dirt, and earth that sustain them, creating two visual languages rooted in the same landscape.
