About this event
Art: Inherited Ground brings together an intergenerational collaboration between Maggie Thompson (Fond du Lac Ojibwe) and her mother, Peggy Thompson. At the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, their work combines weaving, painting, ribbon, beads, Ojibwe floral design, and painterly depictions of the ground and earth found at the Arboretum. Maggie’s woven textile pieces are inspired by flowers growing in and around the Arboretum, while Peggy’s paintings focus on the soil that sustains them.
