About this event
Art: Inherited Ground at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum brings together an intergenerational collaboration between Maggie Thompson (Fond du Lac Ojibwe) and her mother, Peggy Thompson. The project pairs Maggie’s woven textile works—made with ribbon and beads in Ojibwe floral designs inspired by flowers growing in and around the Arboretum—with Peggy’s paintings focused on the ground, dirt, and earth that sustain them. Together, the works explore two distinct visual languages interpreting the same landscape.
