Art: Inherited Ground at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum presents an intergenerational collaboration between Maggie Thompson (Fond du Lac Ojibwe) and her mother, Peggy Thompson. The project combines weaving, painting, ribbon, and beads with shared observation of the Arboretum grounds. Maggie’s woven textile works feature Ojibwe florals inspired by flowers growing in and around the Arboretum, while Peggy Thompson’s paintings focus on the soil, dirt, and earth that sustain them.
