About this event
Art: Inherited Ground is an intergenerational collaboration between Maggie Thompson (Fond du Lac Ojibwe) and her mother, Peggy Thompson. The project brings together weaving, painting, and shared observation of land at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Maggie’s woven textile works use ribbon and beads to create Ojibwe florals inspired by flowers growing in and around the Arboretum, while Peggy presents paintings focused on the ground, dirt, and earth found there.
