At the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Art: Inherited Ground presents an intergenerational collaboration by Maggie Thompson (Fond du Lac Ojibwe) and her mother, Peggy Thompson. Their work combines weaving, painting, and shared observation of land, with Maggie’s ribbon-and-bead textile pieces inspired by Ojibwe floral design and her mother’s paintings centered on the soil, dirt, and earth of the Arboretum.
