Art: Inherited Ground at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum brings together weaving, painting, and shared observation of land in an intergenerational collaboration between Maggie Thompson (Fond du Lac Ojibwe) and her mother, Peggy Thompson. Maggie’s ribbon-and-bead textile works create Ojibwe floral designs inspired by flowers growing in and around the Arboretum, while Peggy’s paintings focus on the ground, dirt, and earth that sustain them.
