Dakota Sacred Hoop Walk - Minnesota Landscape Arboretum
Explore the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum through the Dakota Sacred Hoop Walk, an augmented reality art exhibition by Twin Cities digital artist Marlena Myles, a member of the Spirit Lake Dakota tribe. Families can use their phones to view digital images and hear audio at stops along the walk, beginning in the Harrison Sculpture Garden. You will discover Dakota history and culture, connect with the significance of the land, and experience art and storytelling in an outdoor setting. This is a family-friendly way to learn together while enjoying the Arboretum’s gardens and walking paths.
