Dakota Sacred Hoop Walk - Minnesota Landscape Arboretum
Visit the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum for the Dakota Sacred Hoop Walk, an augmented reality art experience created by Twin Cities digital artist Marlena Myles, a member of the Spirit Lake Dakota tribe. You and your family can walk the route, view digital images and listen to audio at stops along the way, and learn through art and storytelling about Dakota history, culture, and the significance of the land. The experience begins in the Harrison Sculpture Garden and offers a thoughtful way to explore the Arboretum together. It is a family-friendly outing that blends outdoor discovery, visual art, and cultural learning in one meaningful visit.
