Dakota Sacred Hoop Walk - Minnesota Landscape Arboretum
Visit the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum for the Dakota Sacred Hoop Walk, an augmented reality art experience created by Twin Cities digital artist Marlena Myles, a member of the Spirit Lake Dakota tribe. Beginning in the Harrison Sculpture Garden, you and your family can use your phone to follow digital images and audio along the walk while learning about Dakota history, culture, and the significance of the land through art and storytelling. Explore the outdoor setting, listen as the experience unfolds, and connect with a meaningful family-friendly exhibit rooted in place and perspective. This is a thoughtful way to spend time together at the Arboretum, with art and education woven into the landscape.
